Hand Me Down is a photo series produced by Good Material for Issue One 'For Keeps'. Issue One aimed to capture the sentiment of treasuring, of holding on, of wanting things to last forever. It centred upon the hidden power of garments, the memories they hold, and their ability to tell stories. Hand Me Down was styled with entirely second hand and vintage garments, a reminder to refrain from buying into fast fashion and instead to repurpose what you already have. After all, often the older pieces in our wardrobes are not only better quality, but have sentimental value as well, something that fast fashion does not.
We put together an amazing team to create the following images, and have gone on to work with these talented women again and again. A big thank you to Kalindy, Ivora and Anna.
